She's in the salt mine
He's in the factory
Separated by a thousand miles
And yet,

at night they both look up
at the moon.
She's overwhelmed by the thought

that he will see the moon
He hopes that
she will see it too.
They gaze into the stillness of the night united by the moon

the end is killed in turn
the earth screams for that last drop
the drop lasts but for a while
the scream shatters the still night
lit by glow worms
that switch their glow off
Our follies are punished
Life with no light
stars on vacation
And blaring shadows for company
Only 60 watts of power
Only voids behind closed lids
Only starless nights
Only nightmares at noon

Fly in the eye
or just a sty
longed for pairs
finally there
a strange fear
creeps near
will all be lost?
and and for all time ?
to die or
just to sigh!
